POLYGEL: No more Acrylic Nails!
At Sassy Nails, we are always striving to provide the best possible care for your nails.
After careful consideration and research, starting in July 2025, we will no longer be providing acrylic nail treatments.
Why the change, and what makes Polygel better for your nails? Let’s dive into the details!

What is Polygel?
Polygel is an innovative nail enhancement product that combines the best qualities of both acrylics and gel. It's a hybrid formula that offers the strength of acrylics and the flexibility of gel. It’s applied similarly to traditional acrylics but requires less filing, has less odor, and is overall much more flexible.
Why Are We Switching?
We understand that your nails deserve not only beautiful, long-lasting enhancements but also the healthiest care possible. After considering customer feedback and keeping up with advancements in the nail industry, we believe polygel is the superior choice for both aesthetic and health reasons. Here’s why:
1. Healthier for Your Nails
Unlike acrylics, which can sometimes cause dryness or brittleness in your natural nails, polygel is much gentler. It doesn’t require the same harsh chemicals or intense filing, making it less likely to damage your natural nail bed.
Polygel also has a much thinner and more flexible consistency, which allows for more movement and less pressure on the natural nail, reducing the risk of breakage or discomfort.
2. Stronger Yet Flexible
Polygel combines the best of both worlds — strength and flexibility. While acrylic nails can be rigid and prone to cracking, polygel nails are more flexible and less likely to break under stress. This means you’ll enjoy a longer-lasting, more durable manicure without compromising comfort.
3. Lightweight
Polygel nails are incredibly lightweight compared to traditional acrylics, giving your nails a more natural feel. Acrylic nails can sometimes feel heavy or thick, but polygel’s lightness offers a much more comfortable wearing experience.
4. Less Odor and Chemicals
If you’ve ever had acrylic nails applied, you’re familiar with the strong chemical odor. Polygel has a significantly milder scent, making the application process more pleasant. In addition, the formulation is free from many of the harsh chemicals that can sometimes irritate sensitive skin or nails, offering a cleaner, healthier alternative.
5. Easier to Remove and Maintain
Removing acrylic nails can be a lengthy and potentially damaging process, but polygel can be more easily soaked off without excessive filing. This means less risk of damaging your natural nails and a more seamless removal process when it’s time for a fresh set!
6. Natural Look and Feel
One of the most exciting benefits of Polygel is the way it mimics the natural nail. The material can be sculpted and shaped to create a flawless, natural-looking finish. Whether you prefer a subtle enhancement or bold, artistic designs, polygel gives us the flexibility to create beautiful, realistic nail art that lasts.
